Maintenance Master
Maintenance crew vehicles allow railway workers to transport tools and materials to the worksite using both public roads and railway tracks. The 4×4 drive scheme ensures excellent passability on unpaved and gravel roads. To load heavier tools and materials, the vehicles are equipped with a hydraulic crane with a lifting capacity of 300 kg. In addition to a six-seater crew cab, the Ford F-450 truck has a lockable material box at the rear of the vehicle and multifunctional cabinets for tools and accessories on the sides. The hi-rail gear is electrically operated directly from the driver's seat. The electro-hydraulic system allows for easy set up and, if necessary, quick removal of the vehicle from the rails. Braking and traction are provided by the road wheels, with the load shared between the road and rail wheels. To ensure safety, 3 video cameras covering the front and rear assist with setting the vehicle on the rails. Vehicles of the Ford F-250 - 450 type have been fitted with railway equipment since 2003. During this period, 60 cars have been handed over to our customers in both Estonia and Latvia.
