Heavy Truck
The heavy-duty vehicle for the transport of railway materials enables the transport of turnout details, rails, gravel and sleepers directly to the railway site and to place the transported components directly on the track with the help of a hydraulic crane installed on the vehicle. The heavy-duty truck is capable of moving on public roads and railway tracks. The heavy-duty truck is equipped with a side-tilting truck bed, a remote-controlled hydraulic crane, railway hi-rail gear and transport frames for 12.5 m long rails. The hi-rail gear is electrically operated directly from the driver's seat. The electro-hydraulic system enables quick deployment onto the tracks and rapid removal when necessary. Braking and traction are provided by the road wheels, with the load shared between the road and rail wheels. To ensure safety, 3 video cameras covering the front and rear assist with setting the vehicle on the rails. Renault, Iveco, Scania and Volvo heavy-duty trucks have been fitted with railway equipment since 2003. 6 heavy-duty trucks have been handed over to our customers during this time period.
