Catenary Maintenance
The catenary line maintenance vehicle allows the maintenance crew with tools and materials to be transported to the railway site using a paved road or railway tracks. The heavy-duty vehicle is equipped with a lifting platform, a hydraulic crane, railway guiding gear, a pantograph and an electronic control device for the position of the contact line wire. The hydraulic lifting equipment is manufactured by Palfinger AG specifically for railway vehicles. The platform lift installed at the front of the vehicle and the hydraulic crane at the rear have the ability to work in sync, maintaining balance in any position. The contact wire measuring device uses laser technology. The wire's position can be monitored in real-time, and all measured parameters are stored digitally. The hi-rail gear is electrically operated directly from the driver's seat. The electro-hydraulic system enables quick deployment onto the tracks and rapid removal when necessary. Braking and traction are provided by the road wheels, with the load shared between the road and rail wheels. To ensure safety, 3 video cameras covering the front and rear assist with setting the vehicle on the rails. Renault, Iveco, Scania and Volvo heavy-duty trucks have been fitted with railway equipment since 2003. During this period, 4 heavy-duty trucks equipped with contact line control equipment and hydraulic lifts have been handed over to our customers.
